Kelsie and Paul's wedding ceremony and reception took place at the World Forestry Center in Portland on August 18, 2012. The room they were married in was an amazing, round, dramatic, and interesting space. They cleverly chose colors that were a fun and feminine contrast with the neutral colors on-site: Pink and ivory with pops of black and aqua.
Kelsie's bouquet: Ivory garden roses, ivory football mums, pink dahlias, pink lisianthus, and "foresty" greenery.
We used a piece of fabric that was removed from Kelsie's wedding gown to wrap the stems, then evenly attached family heirloom broaches.
The bridesmaid bouquets: Pink garden roses, pink dahlias, and "foresty" greenery.
The stems were wrapped with pale pink and aqua ribbon, sweet pink family heirloom buttons attached.
The Groomsman boutonierres: A pink garden rose and "foresty" greenery with teal ribbon.
The Centerpieces: A black bubble vase containing an arrangement of white football mums, pink dahlias, pink garden roses, and "foresty" greenery.
We decorated the aisle with pink and white rose petals displayed in a whimsical design, overlapping the aisle runner.
The venue has a permanent fixture of hanging lanterns in the center of the room. We removed three of the smallest lanterns, and replaced them with hanging pink carnation balls of the same size, hung from black ribbon.
